2020 summer Olympics in Tokyo

As the 2020 Olympics has come to an end, many athletes returned with medals and many with fame. We got to see many talented people and their skills in respective sports. From marathons to pole jumps, and long jumps, the Olympics entertained us with all types of games. 

For the 2020 Olympics, Tokyo was selected as the hosting city. The game was originally scheduled from 24 July to 9 August 2020, however, the whole event was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. 

As the long series of games came to an end, the United States starred at the top with a total of 39 gold and 113 total medals, then China second to the United States with 38 gold and 88 total medals. Finishing third is the host country, Japan with 27 gold and 58 total medals.

She is popular as a sprinter since she has already set her name in the Olympics by winning 5 times at her previous games. In the 2016 Olympics, she secured first place and earned gold medals in 100 meters and 200 meters  She has set her name once again internationally by winning 100 meters in the 2020 Summer Olympics that took place in Tokyo. She is also known as the fastest woman alive.

She first won her gold medal in the 2016 Olympics and then she once again secured first place in the 2020 Olympics. Not just Olympics but she is active in other sports tournaments such as the World Athletics Championship, World Youth Championships, World Indoor Championships, etc.

Athing Mu is a middle-distance runner from America. At just the age of 19, Athing set her name in the Olympics by winning the 800 meters in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Not just this but she was able to set the world under 20 records. Athing also won another gold medal in the 2020 Olympics as a part of the 4*400 meters replay.

One of her specialty is that ever since was 20 years old, she has either won or finished second in every championship she took part in. She is well known in other championships such as world championships, diamond league champion, world U18 championships, world U20 championships, etc. Faith is also classified as one of the Top 100 influential Africans in 2017.

Sifan set her name at the 2020 Olympics by winning gold medals in 5000 m and 10000 m long runs. She also secured a bronze medal in 1500 meters at the 2020 Olympics. Plus, she has won tons of medals in various national and international tournaments such as world championships, world championships in Athletics, etc.

She set a record by becoming the first Ugandan woman to win a gold Olympic medal. Born in 1999 A.D., she has competed in the junior women’s race and IAAF World Cross Country Championships.
